Fine lines and wrinkles around the mouth and eyes and on the forehead and cheek areas may be improved with a wide range of treatments.

Laser dermabrasion employs the use of CO2 and Erbium-YAG lasers to remove the upper layers of skin most heavily damaged by sun, other environmental factors, and acne scars. The skin is temporarily raw and dressed with either ointment or mask and, within a few days, has regenerated a new layer of skin surface cells that appear more taut, youthful and smooth. Usually within eight to nine days the skin can be covered with makeup foundation for concealment of residual pinkness. Pinkness usually resolves within two months.

Aging, acne, and other trauma can cause contour defects which can be corrected with an injectable filler such as collagen or fat cells to diminish facial lines, wrinkles, pock marks. Deeper creases such as those on both sides of the upper lip can be softened with use of dermal fat grafts placed through two small, inconspicuous incisions. Other manmade fillers are available and may be recommended depending on your unique anatomical situation.

Botox may be recommended and used at the time of your laser resurfacing procedure to minimize underlying muscular activity and achieve maximum smoothness of deep lines, especially within the crow's feet and central forehead region.
