Rhinoplasty Patient Pre-Op Instructions

NOTHING to eat or drink after midnight the night before surgery/NO gum or mints. You may brush your teeth, but do not drink water while rinsing.
You will need a driver and someone to stay with you for the first 24 hours.
You will be seen at our office for a post-op visit the next day and you will need someone to bring you (the recovery room nurse will tell you the post-op appointment time before you leave Centerpoint on surgery day).
Leave all jewelry at home, including ALL body piercing.
DO NOT apply moisturizer, lotion or make-up to your face the morning of surgery.
DO NOT wear contacts on surgery day.
Please wear something that zips or buttons up the front and loose, comfortable bottoms the day of surgery.
If you take blood pressure medication, continue to take it as scheduled.
If you use an inhaler, please bring it with you on surgery day.
You will need to be at Centerpoint Ambulatory Surgery Center on ______________ at ___________am/pm.
Centerpoint Ambulatory Surgery Center is located at 19550 East 39th Street, Suite 100 Independence, MO 64057. Their phone number is (816) 478-2600. The Surgery Center is located on the west side of Centerpoint Hospital.
Remember that all surgery times/dates are subject to change without notice!! Please be flexible with your surgery day and always give our staff a phone number where you can be reached on that day.
