Hormone Replacement Therapy

Hormones influence energy, mood, sleep, metabolism, sexual health, muscle, bone health, and overall well-being. As we age, hormone levels and patterns naturally change. At Healthylooks Wellness, we use symptoms, health history, appropriate laboratory testing, and ongoing follow-up to build an individualized treatment plan when hormone therapy is clinically appropriate.

Understanding Hormone Changes

Hormones are chemical messengers that help regulate many of the body's most important functions. Levels can change with age and life stage, and symptoms may develop gradually.

Changes can affect energy, sleep, mood, body composition, sexual function, temperature regulation, cognition, and overall quality of life. Because symptoms can overlap with other health conditions, treatment should begin with a comprehensive evaluation rather than symptoms alone.

Find the Information That Applies to You

Hormone concerns look different for men and women. Start where you are.

Male HRT

Understanding Andropause

Men can experience age-related changes in testosterone and other hormones, sometimes referred to as andropause. Unlike menopause, these changes are usually gradual and vary significantly from person to person.

Symptoms associated with low testosterone may include lower energy, reduced libido, changes in erectile function, decreased muscle mass or strength, increased body fat, mood changes, and difficulty concentrating.

Our approach includes a detailed history, appropriate laboratory testing, review of risks and benefits, and an individualized treatment plan when indicated.

Women's Hormones

Perimenopause and Menopause

Perimenopause is the transition leading up to menopause and can begin years before menstrual periods stop completely. During this time, estrogen, progesterone, and other hormone patterns may fluctuate.

Women may experience changes in their menstrual cycle, hot flashes, night sweats, sleep disruption, mood changes, brain fog, vaginal or urinary symptoms, changes in libido, and changes in body composition.

Healthylooks Wellness evaluates the whole picture, including symptoms, medical history, life stage, and appropriate testing, to determine whether hormone therapy or other treatment options may be appropriate.

  2. 02

    Complete Your Laboratory Testing

We will order the appropriate baseline labs based on your health history and goals. Lab orders can be completed through Labcorp, which has patient service centers nationwide.

  3. 03

    Complete Your Intake Forms

Before your consultation, you will complete a detailed health and symptom intake so your provider can review your medical history, current medications, concerns, and goals.

  4. 04

    Meet With Your Provider

Your initial consultation is approximately 60 to 90 minutes and may be completed virtually when appropriate. This visit reviews your symptoms, history, laboratory results, goals, risks, benefits, and available treatment options.

  5. 05

    Receive Your Personalized Protocol

If treatment is appropriate, your protocol is customized and tailored to you. There is no one-size-fits-all hormone plan.

  6. 06

    Medication Delivered to Your Door

When applicable, prescribed medications can be shipped directly to your door. Clear dosing instructions, education, and coaching are built into your care plan.

  7. 07

    Ongoing Optimization

Hormone therapy is an ongoing process, not a one-time prescription. Follow-up labs are customized around your therapy and clinical needs. A common schedule is approximately 3 months after starting or changing treatment, again around 6 months, then approximately every 6 months when stable, unless your provider recommends otherwise.

  8. 08

    Stay Connected

As your biology, symptoms, goals, medications, and health history change, your plan may change too. Our team continues to monitor progress, answer questions, review results, and adjust treatment when clinically appropriate.

Medications & Sourcing

When a prescription is part of your treatment plan, Healthylooks Wellness works with appropriately licensed pharmacy partners. Compounded medications, when prescribed, are prepared by qualified compounding pharmacies operating under applicable federal and state requirements.

Medication selection and pharmacy sourcing depend on the individual prescription, availability, patient needs, and provider judgment.

Symptoms alone are not enough. Because hormone symptoms can overlap with other health conditions, we begin with a comprehensive evaluation that includes your symptoms, health history, and appropriate laboratory testing. Important Information

Peptide therapies are not appropriate for everyone. The evidence, availability, formulation, and regulatory status of individual peptides vary and may change over time.

Many peptides discussed within wellness, performance, recovery, body-composition, and healthy-aging settings remain investigational or are not FDA-approved for those specific uses. Human clinical evidence may be limited for certain therapies.
