While he had an academic appointment at the University of Kansas School of Medicine, Dr. Lamb supervised the Aesthetic Surgery research of several residents and completed facial anatomic dissections that became the beginnings of his book Facial Volumization: an Anatomic Approach. Dr. Lamb saw the need to complete a layered anatomical treatise on the face geared for the fat grafting Plastic Surgeon as well as the Aesthetic injector, by carefully locating all the pertinent facial structures and depicting their depth between skin and skeleton. Dr. Lamb shares that “completing the book with co-author, Chris Surek, was like writing a medical detective novel.
