The Perfect Peel
The Perfect Derma Peel is a revolutionary medium depth peel that transforms skin and creates a healthy complexion in just one treatment! It minimizes the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, shrinks pore size, fades hyperpigmentation, lifts melasma and eliminates acne and acne scars. The Perfect Peel is the only chemical peel to contain a powerful antioxidant called Glutathione, which lightens and brightens the skin and helps slow down the overall aging process. This chemical peel is great for all skin types and ethnicities and is virtually painless with minimal downtime.
During your appointment we will cleanse and remove any excess oils, allowing the peel to penetrate deeper. Then, we will apply The Perfect Peel which will have a slight sting for about 30 seconds. The patient will leave with the peel on and sleep with it on overnight. We will send the patient home with a post peel kit and detailed instructions. Patients will begin to significantly peel day 3 through 6 and will be completely finished with the peeling process by day 7.
The Perfect Peel Frequently Asked Questions:
When Should I get The Perfect Peel?
The Perfect Peel is safe to do anytime of the year. You must be out of the sun before and during the peeling process. If you have a sunburn prior to the treatment, you will need to reschedule. If you are getting the treatment before an event, we recommend allowing 2 weeks so your skin can be fully recovered.
How many treatments are necessary for visible improvement?
After just one treatment of The Perfect Peel, you will see dramatic improvement, but depending on the severity of the skin conditions, you may need multiple treatments to see desired results. A series of 2-3 treatments spaced 4 weeks apart will allow optimal improvement for more severe conditions, such as melasma and active acne. Otherwise, we recommend 2-3 treatments in a years time.
How long will results last?
Using proper skin care products at home will help to maintain the results of the peel. Patients can be treated with the peel 3 times per year to enhance and maintain results.
What skin types or ethnicities can do The Perfect Peel?
All skin types and ethnicities are safe to treat and will benefit from The Perfect Peel.
Do I need to precondition my skin prior to getting this treatment?
The Perfect Peel requires no preconditioning of the skin prior to treatment. Only those patients who use Accutane must be off for 12 months prior to treatment.
Does The Perfect Peel burn?
Patients may feel a slight stinging or tingling sensation, but it only lasts for about 30 seconds. The first pass of The Perfect Peel numbs the skin, making the rest of treatment comfortable. We also use a handheld fan to aid in comfort for the patient.
How severe is the peeling?
Typically, patients will start peeling 2 days after the peel (day 3) starting around the mouth and working its way outwards towards the perimeter of the face, and the peeling is generally completed by day 7. The peeling is a sloughing of thin sheets of the epidermis (top layer of skin) and may be slightly itchy and pink.
Can makeup be worn post peel?
The day of the peel, avoid putting on any makeup or other products. Patients go home with the peel on, and we recommend sleeping with the peel on and rinse off the next morning. The next day makeup can be worn, but once peeling begins, patients should avoid wearing face makeup and allow the skin to breath and heal.
Can The Perfect Peel be applied to other parts of the body other than the face?
The face, neck, chest and hands are the most common areas to perform The Perfect Peel, although it can be applied anywhere on the body. The healing time and results may vary for different areas of the body. It may take more treatments on the body to achieve the same results that you would on the face. This is because the skin on the body is more sensitive than the skin on the face, so we have to be lighter when applying the peel to the body.
Can I receive The Perfect Peel if I am pregnant or nursing?
If you are pregnant you cannot receive The Perfect Peel. Nursing patients can be treated, however the breast milk will need to be disposed 24-48 hours post treatment.
