Permanent Makeup

If you are considering micropigmentation, more commonly known as permanent makeup, this will give you a basic understanding of the procedures — when it can help, how it is performed, and what results you can expect. This is not intended to take the place of a personal consultation. The application of micropigmentation is a unique combination of artistic ability and technical skill. To create the most natural results, technique, placement, color artistry and good judgment are paramount. Permanent makeup is a time-saving convenience for women on the go.

Why It’s Special

  • Enhancement of eyebrows is important to frame the eyes, giving the face expression. Eyebrows that are naturally too light, too thin, sparse, or nonexistent can be beautifully enhanced and improved with micropigmentation.
  • Lining the eyes enhances and defines their beauty.
  • Asymmetrical-shaped lips, thick lips, or lips with uneven vermilion borders are perfect for lip color. And it eliminates the problem of lipstick “bleeding” into the fine lines around the mouth.

Commonly Asked Questions

Is it a tattoo?

Yes, it is a form of tattoo using specially formulated pigments for cosmetic tattooing. The procedure is done with a state of the art digital device using acupuncture size needles.

Does it hurt?

The sensation can be compared to electrolysis or tweezing of eyebrows. Medical topical anesthetic is used for the patient’s comfort both before and during the procedure.

What if I change my hair color?

Changing hair color will not affect properly applied permanent makeup. All color choices are selected to harmonize with skin tone and undertone. Shape and color are discussed in detail before beginning the procedure.

What is the recovery time?

With the new digital machine, we feel there is less trauma to the skin, and minimal to no bruising to the eye or brow area. Lips will have minimal swelling.

What if I decide to have cosmetic surgery?

Plastic surgery has no effect on properly placed permanent makeup.

How long does it last?

All procedures include 2 applications, 1 month apart. Fading usually occurs within 3-5 years. Some variables that affect longevity include depth of pigment color chosen, skin type and proper post care.

Testimonials from Actual Patients

“Eyebrow pencils be gone! At least for me they are. Going to Carri was one of the best decisions I’ve made. The setting is top notch and Carri is a true professional. My favorite part is, I can go swimming, dry off, and still have both eyebrows!”

“I literally went from a soccer Mom to feeling like I could walk the red carpet once after meeting and consulting with Carri! The raw talent and true gift that she passionately puts into her art, our faces, could compare with any professional in Los Angeles or New York, we are so lucky to have her here in Kansas City!”

“Carri has a very unique artistic talent and a keen eye for permanent makeup application. She enhances the beautiful you that is already there.”

“I used to spend more than 15 minutes each morning “drawing” on my eyebrows, and then depending on what I did during the day, they sometimes disappeared. Very embarrassing! Now, since Carri has given me “permanent eyebrows,” I’ve not only cut my makeup time in half, but now I have no fear that my eyebrows will wash off during the day—I can even swim! Carri changed my life!”

“When I told my sister several years ago that I was considering permanent eyeliner, she was worried that it would look too thick or unnatural. But, after she saw how mine turned out, she came in from out of town to have Carri do her permanent eyeliner too. We both love it!”

“I get compliments on my skin a lot. Nice skin runs in my family, so I know part of it is luck, but the rest I attribute to the micro peels and skincare products that I get from Carri Lamb.”

“Thanks to Carri and my monthly skincare peels, people say to me, ‘You look exactly the same as you did 15 years ago!’ I credit this to the wonderful skincare products Carri has recommended and the monthly skincare peels that I have received from her.”
